Airport options and distance from Camp Friendship:

• Charlottesville (CHO): 45 min

• Richmond (RIC): 1.25 hrs (NOTE: this will likely have more flight options than CHO)

• Washington Reagan (DCA): 2.25 hrs

• Washington Dulles (IAD): 2.25 hrs

Amtrak options and distance from Camp Friendship:

• Charlottesville: 30 min

• Richmond: 1 hr

Camp Friendship is a 3 hour drive from Washington, DC and a 3-5 hour drive from North Carolina, depending on specific location.

Parking is available for those staying on site in the cabins, as well as for those joining for camp activities or the ceremony + reception.

On-site cabin lodging: ‘Booking’ the onsite lodging was completed via your RSVP response. Additional information to be communicated via email, including cabin assignments (also to be provided at check-in).

We understand this setup is unique and not for everybody, which is why there are additional options listed below.

Hotel option with transportation: The Hampton Zion Crossroads Gordonsville (15 minute drive from Camp Friendship) will have bussed transportation provided to and from the venue for the Saturday Ceremony/Reception for those staying at the Hampton Inn.

Other options without transportation: Everyone is welcome to stay off-site in other hotels or home rentals in the area. Note that transportation will only be provided for those at the Hampton Zion Crossroads Gordonsville. However, there is parking available at Camp Friendship. Ubers/Lyfts might be difficult when leaving the Reception so please only choose this option if you plan to drive or arrange alternative transportation.

Please note that the UVA-Florida State football game is in Charlottesville on Friday, September 26. This is likely to impact availability of lodging in Charlottesville.
