  • Camp Fredwards is a weekend celebration of Sarah and Fred’s love and commitment to each other, shared with family and friends.

    To be clear, the LOCATION of this weekend event is Camp Friendship in Palmyra, Virginia, located at 573 Friendship Way, Palmyra, VA 22963.

  • Of course not!! While the camp is available from Thursday 4pm to Sunday 3pm, we invite guests to join for as much or as little as they wish. Come and go as you please.

    The main event will be the Ceremony and Reception on Saturday evening.

    Attendance for all other meals will was selected via your RSVP response.

  • Our Friday evening event, Saturday Ceremony and Reception, and overnight on-site cabin lodging will be child-free.

    Children are welcome at Camp Fredwards during the other times and activities. However, guests will need to arrange childcare if planning to attend the Friday or Saturday evening events and/or staying on-site.

  • Camp will still take place in the event of rain!

    We have various covered or indoor backup plans for the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour in the event of rain.

    The Reception is currently planned to be indoors.

  • On-site lodging is available to all at $40 pp/night, which includes bed linens. Additional information is available on the Travel page.

    Paid Meal costs:

    Thursday Pizza Dinner: $10/pp

    Friday Brunch $15/pp

    Saturday Brunch $15/pp

    Sunday Breakfast: $12/pp

    Confirmation for joining these meals was completed via your RSVP response.

    If you RSVP'd yes to any of the paid meals or on-site cabins, Sarah and Fred will be collecting money (mostly via Venmo). If you have a preferred payment method that isn't Venmo, please contact Sarah or Fred separately.

    Saturday and Sunday Dinners, full weekend alcohol, and camp activities/fun/joy will be provided at no cost!

  • See a suggested packing list for on-site guests here. Most importantly, check the weather while packing! We’ll be working with the elements provided by nature :)

    Bed linens will be provided. Requests for blankets, pillows, and towels was communicated via your RSVP response (check email from “withjoy” to confirm).

    Remember to pack appropriate footwear for the Reception and Ceremony which will involve walking on gravel, dirt, and sand (i.e. no thin or tall heels). The Reception is indoors but the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour are outdoors in a stone amphitheater and sand beach, respectively.

    In addition to scheduled camp activities, there are sand volleyball courts, hiking trails, tennis courts, basketball gym, and athletic fields that will be available for use throughout the weekend.

    You may participate in camp activities regardless of your lodging location - come hang out!

  • Upon arrival, please check-in at the Main Office, Camp staff will provide a welcome packet and direct you to your lodging.

    Official check-in hours:

    Thursday 4:00-9:00pm

    Friday 9:00am-9:30pm

    Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm

    Please do not arrive before 4pm on Thursday.

    If you are arriving after the official hours, we will coordinate separately (done via RSVP response).

    If you happen to arrive before 9am on Friday or Saturday, you can come down to Camp and officially check-in later after 9am.

  • Parking is available!

    For those staying on-site, you will be directed where to appropriately park at check-in.

    For those staying off-site and driving in for any of the camp activities, meals, or Ceremony and Reception, you will be directed where to appropriately park upon arrival.

    For the Wedding Ceremony and Reception, please plan to arrive 20-45 minutes early so that you can make your way to the Ceremony without rushing!
